Reminders

* Exploration Place is offering discounted Our Body: The Universe Within admission for all state employees, including WSU faculty/staff and their families, through Sunday, Aug. 17. Prices, which include admission to exhibits on flight, Kansas and Kids Explore, are $17.95, adults (16 and up); $15.95, youth (5-15); $3, children (2-4); and free for 2 and under. Faculty/staff must present WSU ID. Offer good for up to five people per group. Go to www.exploration.org for hours.

* A celebration of life for Betty Welsbacher, professor emerita, special education in the School of Music, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7202 E. 21st St. in Wichita. Welsbacher died July 31.

* The Alumni Association encourages you to nominate an individual for an alumni award. Please click http://webs.wichita.edu/alumni/awards.asp to read the full descriptions of each award and follow the criteria closely. The deadline for nominations is today (Friday, Aug. 15).
